The Poor Righteous Teachers offered more Islamic and Afrocentric raps on this album, sometimes becoming overly pedantic, but also keeping the raps and rhymes flowing and the beats moving. Their material's propagandistic tone was offset to some extent by the use of reggae and funk influences, but few groups are more open about their religious and political affiliations and beliefs.6/

Those that were paying attention know that this album is great from start to finish. Joints like "Word Iz Life", "Gods, Earths, & 85ers", and "Miss Ghetto" are classics in my mind. As a matter of fact, every song on this album is dope. No wackness to be found here - and that can be said about any PRT release (all of their albums are top notch)/5(17).

Poor Righteous Teachers' third album was 's "Black Business." This was my introduction to the group and it was an album I was very impressed with. The Trenton trio of Culture Freedom, Father Shaheed, and Wise Intelligent are far from the conventional hip hop trio though/5(6).
